Weather in Mulege/Loreto Area?

tiotomasbcs - 4-2-2017 at 12:22 PM

Cold down here on the southern Pacific coast. Lookin to get out of the foggy, cold mornings and afternoons. Have the North winds dissapated on the Sea of Cortez? I know it's getting hot as La Paz is now hitting low 90s! I will wait for Semana Santa to pass by and hope to take a Holiday. Can someone give me some current weather news, por favor. Hasta pronto. Tomas

Click on the Cortez side, zoom up, move the map, click on the icon of weather station. I think it's warmer than 80F/27C anywhere on Cortez Sea now (in daytime).

Loreto has been beautiful, cool mornings and evenings and warm days. The wind is still a variable but getting better every day. Although don't come visit, there's already too many snow birds here now for my taste.

Our Snow Birds are mostly gone as are our Norcccal farmers! Thanks for the reports . Hoping to find the beaches empty after Canucks and Breakers enjoy themselves. How about Mulege, Richard? Buy you a beer! Tio ps thanks B&S

Just got back from our anual trip to Baja, enjoyed every part of it from crossing Tecate in about 15 minutes to our drive down to Puerto San Carlos, then to Loreto and staying in Bahía Concepción for a week, all planned with the invaluable and very reliable help of:

I'm writing this from home in Chula Vista after crossing around 5pm back thru Tecate: about 30 minute line and a 3 minute verbal inspection at the border... can't wait to go back... Viva Baja...!!!! :bounce:

Mulegé's been sooo nice and will only get "perfecter" before summer weather kicks in.

Right now it's kinda hot mid-day in the sunshine with warming water in the Bay. Light, not heavy, winds are still blowing up mid-afternoon but dissipate quickly. Mornings and evenings are very nice.

Come on up. The Bay beaches will be empty of campers post-Semana Santa, cleaned on Monday after Easter and the weather should be absolutely perfect by then. Town still has great food and everything ya' need including nice camping on the river should you choose at Huerta Don Chano, a short walk back into town or out to the lighthouse.

Hope to see you 'round, Tio. ~ Maria y Rica

Why dont you take a little camping trip to Agua Verde which is where we head to for nice weather in the spring where it is not too crowded and closer to you too...lots of cool spots to explore. It is the perfect time of the year on the gulf side right now..not too hot and water is warm enough to swim in.

it is our winter here in Asuncion for the next couple months...which is why everybody heads over to Bahia Concepcion for semana santa coming up next week(avoid that at all costs). cheers bro...enjoy your vacation.
