"This week we sighted common dolphin, bottlenose dolphin, giant pacific mantas, orcas, blue whales, humpback whales, gray whales and a couple of the endangered vaquita porpoise. "

Let me start by saying I have seen others get beat up on this board for claiming to having sighted Vaquita where the marine biologists say they don't habitat. I am not a biologist and do not want to debate the issue. I have spent more than 100 days a year every year for the last 27 on the waters of the East Cape. With that experience I can mostly ID what I sight correctly.

It is not everyday but not uncommon for us to sight Vaquita. Some marine animals are very social and don't mind the presents of boat traffic while others are not. Vaquita always seem to fall in the latter category. We always try to be respectful and not disturb sea life that prefers to be left alone.

A good part of every day on the water is spent with my face stuffed in our Frazier Gyros which gives a huge advantage in finding and observing marine life and game fish. The glasses can make objects that can't be seen with the naked eye look like you could reach out and touch them. They also bring me much closer to an object than the telephoto lens of my camera.

To directly answer your question, no, I did not take any photos.
