I just discovered that if you click on any photo it goes to PhotoBucket for a bigger photo.:o
edit: There have already been a couple offers but low. The truck is in really good condition! Steve bought it from me and spent a lot of time and $$ getting it in like new condition. He had a couple mechanical issues he took care of also. As you can see from the mileage I wasn't using it enough to justify keeping it. I am shocked with what he's done! I put in the power rear window and it worked great when I had a camper on it. This diesel is just about broken in now. I was getting 17mph with the old diesel.

sweet ride...great price! I am not showing this to Juan!

Russ - 4-25-2017 at 08:31 AM

Sheri, I think I may have had it over there a hundred years ago. A little stiff riding on bad roads, unless you get some speed up. 3/4 tons seem to be that way I guess. Handles sand pretty well too but when aired down it's great.

Is that leaf springs up front?

Not sure. What ever was stock on that rig.

watizname - 4-27-2017 at 08:39 AM

Sweet ride. If I was looking I'd be buying.

watizname - 4-27-2017 at 08:41 AM

I forgot to add, that with Steve doing the fixup work, you know its done right. Good Deal.

Honestly, if I didn't already have 4 vehicles that serve me well I would for sure be buying this truck. I freaking love it!

Russ - 5-3-2017 at 06:45 AM

Come on... There must be someone out there that wants this new (almost) 1996 Power Stroke. Or.... Knows someone that has to have it.

bajatrailrider - 5-3-2017 at 07:38 AM

Great looking Ford truck hard to find one like that.

drzura - 5-3-2017 at 09:12 PM

Wife may only let me spend 8k.

mtgoat666 - 5-3-2017 at 09:35 PM

$11K for a 21 year old pickup? I can't imagine the blue book is over $4K. Or perhaps your $11k asking price is pesos, eh?

bajabuddha - 5-3-2017 at 10:43 PM

Here ya go, goathead.

Only a Idiot like you would bring up blue book on 21 year old truck. Blue book is a tool for sales for people buying on credit. Has no value on info of 21 year old truck cash buy. That truck is wroth every penny, matter of fact the only good diesel Ford made.

mjs - 5-4-2017 at 10:35 AM

I sold my 97 SRW 4x4 CC for $7500 with 300k miles on the clock. Many times I wish I still had it. That 7.3 was a lot better than the new ford diesels.

Lengua - 5-4-2017 at 07:59 PM

Best Engine Ford put in a truck. The 7.3 turbo diesel is one of the best

GLWS.

Russ - 5-9-2017 at 07:57 AM

Have had a few low bidders but too low to even negotiate. Steve told me he would negotiate a little before he hauls it north to sale.

mojo_norte - 5-9-2017 at 08:41 AM

Low mileage 7.3 Powerstroke. That truck is worth every penny of what you're asking. Would sell in an instant up in S. Cal .

Russ - 5-18-2017 at 07:33 AM

Only two weeks before it goes north.

My '94 4x4 which looks almost exactly like the '96 has "leaf springs" in the front. I put "add-a-leaf's" in the spring-pack's in front and the ride is like new, or better, and I gained almost an inch and a half in front-end lift. Add-a-leaf's are really cheap and easy to install relatively speaking. I have them in the rear, also.

My F350 has leafs up front, so I know what that ride is like on dirt. I will not buy a truck without coils up front ever again. But I doubt any of the Big Three trucks are made like that anymore. It's strong, but it cant absorb small, frequent bumps on dirt the way coils can.

I always thought ride was about shock absorbers and the springs were for the weight

Mostly true!! My F-250 rides like a dream in the dirt with KYB Shocks in the back (leaf springs) and Bilstein in the front (leaf springs), and a 800 lb. 46 inch tall CALLEN CAMPER cab-over shell (50" tall with permanent steel boat rack on top). Coils, and/or "stock" leaf springs are too squishy and bottom out too easily, IMO, unless a Ford Raptor.
