Excellent doorman! The front door will be opened for you each and every time. This guy is good! Try sneaking to that door and see! He WILL see you no
matter how! I ordered N.Y. steak, potatoes, and salad. Wify got the Seafood platter. $35 US. If you are dying for an ?American? dinner, this is the
place to go.
George?s Motel: This place is right next to the El Nido. Excellent room. Even had a spare toothbrush sitting in the bathroom?s condiments basket! Hugh
room. Fresh paint. Updated. I?m a primitive camper, and this place is swell for the needed luxury. Rooms are $52. US
Day and Night Mini Market: off Mar Caribe Norte (near the town?s round a bout). This is the place to buy gas. SELF SERVICE. No attendant to do you in!
Has minimal food items.
Campo El Pescador: A rare find! Location is north of town out by the large rock mountain. Look up location in your ?Baja California Almanac. If you
hate Pete?s Camp for all the noise and crowds, this place is totally gorgeous. Hard to believe it?s so close to the city! Has an enclosed toilet,
running faucet water. Take a solar shower bag with you, and some firewood. Has no trash laying about. Good fishing (I was told). This camp is the
best-kept secret in this area! $8 US
As you leave south to go home from San Felipe, look to the high cliffs at mile 36.5 (give or take). You will see a Virgin Mary shine in a totally cool
location. Several hundred feet up there! How someone did this, is beyond me. See the pic below

Sorry for that. That rain just threw everything into a dither. Our plans were to see you and others on Thursday or Friday as we got back from
Gonzaga. I am coming back down in late April (hopefully) to start house construction in Campos Ocotillos, and to look for more investments. How bout
dinner on me at the El Nino when I do arrive next time?

Very good security. Interior parking lot is fenced off with someone watching it. I was very happy with this motel. The same for the diner, As I
said...try to get that front door opened on your own. that'll show you security!
Just to let you all know about the "bad " guys in Mexico...I've traveled in Mexico numerous times, using a leveled thinking pattern, I?ve never had a
problem with anything. Never. But when I got home here in Sacramento, I left some stuff up on the car rack overnight (was too tired to unload)?..one
freakin night?..and my tackle box and tent bag is swiped. We?re talking about my driveway with lights!!!!

Yankee, If you have not already done so,I recommend that you obtain FM-3s. It is an easier process to do it @ the Mexican Consulate in Sacramento than
here in San Felipe. If you do so , ask for Blanca. With FM-3s you can obtain a visa for your household goods and you will not have to pay duty for one
load within 6 months. You may still be required to obtain a customs manifest but no duty. We will be @ Ocotillos on 2/20 to celebrate Adrienne's and
Jim's birthdays @ Cathy and Norm's house. Will you be there? Rob

How the He-l do you know a Blanca in Sacramento?! That's a great piece of information to have . Thank you. I doubt that we will be at their party, I
have many clients here screaming for us to re-open the business for 2005 (I run a landscape business). Also...I need to make sure that my blueprint
for the house I am designing is ready....meaning simpified for the mexican workers to understand. Please extend mine and Jeanette's "howdy" to all the
folks. Adrienne and Burt are real critters of the desert. What a great couple!

Is it on the north or south side of the large rock mountain? I assume the "large rock mountain" is the punta that the boats tie up in the lee of?
I'm wondering if El Pescador is the old Cantu's Cove....or if Cantu's is still going. I know Steve died many years ago.

Hey David, for 16 years Red's was on my way home when I lived in El Dorado. I installed air conditioning there in 1967. My friend Jeff that just left
here cooked and was a bouncer there for years. It's not the same since Red, Opal, and Bud died. Chappie owns it now and there is a difference. Please
