Graham is looking forward to his trip south from San Felipe!
I spoke with him yesterday regarding my article that will appear in the next Discover Baja newsletter (Graham is now the DB editor). Graham loves dogs
so he picked my 'Finding Inky' story (from my last trip to Mision Santa Maria) to be the first of many, I hope.
Rob, be sure to tell him you are my amigo when you meet him... a great fellow!

Thanks David. I have long looked forward to meeting him and acquiring his books. And now he is coming to us. His books are available at the bookstore

I haven't lost sight of the Baja library project in El Rosario. Could you mention the idea to him, please. As editor of DB newsletter, he can provide
an article with info so that others can donate books, and he can donate some of his books as well. Thanks.

I bought his book "Into a Desert Place" when it came out and read it non-stop cover to cover. Now don't get me wrong and to begin with I have never
met him, but I found it hard to believe he actually walked a couple of places he says he did. Down the pacfic side I can accept, all the way. But
there are places on the Sea of Cortez side that I don't think anyone could do. If I remember correctly he carried a 75 lb backpack.
But it was exciting to read.

Tom, read his 2nd and 3rd books... I think you will learn more about him and realize he did walk the coast where he said he did. Anyway, draw your own
conclussions.
You can see Graham briefly in the movie Titanic on two scenes (his red hair really stands out).

Graham is a really nice guy, and a movie star as well. He was an extra on Titanic.

Well, what do you think he did once he got to a spot you think he couldn't have walked? He couldn't hardly turn around or walk to the highway. He
describes exactly what he did the entire way. "Into a Desert Place" is on my top ten list - truly inspirational.

Two areas I question are the section from Bahia Calamajue to LA Bay in the summer and from El Barril to Santa Rosalia.

Check the book again Tom, South from Calamajue is well described, including the cave at Remedios. South from El Barril he deverted away from the coast
because it was deemed impassable and climbed through the Tres Virgenes volcano region. This is where he nearly died... lack of water, until a spring
was found. Graham said that each time he left the coast he was always in greater danger.

And don`t forget about his lovely and gracious wife Bonni. If you get the San Diego Union, there is a great picture in today`s (2/19) paper of Bonni
photographing a mushroom. Graham says she tries to feed him the poison ones but so far he has managed to avoid them!!!
