Our local fishing cooperativa California de San Ignacio held their annual fishing tournament yesterday to raise funds for their student scholarship
program. It was a slow day on the water and only 2 yellowtail were caught all day and pretty far offshore where most pangas don't go. The 1st place
fish of 25 lbs was caught by fisherman extraordinaire Tomas Arce from Pta.Eugenio.....he has the camp there and takes people fishing and does water
taxi to Cedros & Natividad. 2nd place YT was 11 pounds.
Bur everyone had fun as it was a beautiful day although started out socked in with fog as there was no wind all day.
The coop fed the masses ceviche, caracol c-cktail, and tacos de pescado. Here are some photos of the day.

Capt. Juan fished with Paco...bummer they didnt enter the tournament as his calico would have won!
