Just a quick post to say what a neat thrill it was to meet such a Baja celebrity and skilled writer!
'Osprey' (Jorge or George) and his wife were so interesting and fun to meet. I want to thank them publicly for the invitation to stop by when I passed
by East Cape.
I also could present Osprey with a copy of my book that he so graciously wrote a review of, part of which shares the back cover with reviews from
Graham Mackintosh and Greg Niemann.
Osprey has authored nearly 200 stories about people and places in Mexico that have not been put into print. Being able to read many of them here on
the Internet has been such a treat.
Thank you Jorge and Lynda for your hospitality today! Viva Baja!

And thank you David for a great little visit. It's a long way down here so we don't get many visitors; always a treat to finally press the flesh with
Nomads and Nomadams with whom you've shared so much over the ether more than a decade before there was a Facebook.
Once I finally settled in, 1995, my traveling pretty much got narrowed down to very short forays, 700 meters to the water, another few miles to where
I hoped the fish were biting.
Thanks to all who took the time and effort to come see us -- wish I had met so many more of you.
You'll see a lot more of DK because Mexico's real treasures are still to be unearthed and as they become known, displayed, celebrated, David K. will
be there to shine a very bright light on the peninsula and all it holds.

We second that. BajaBlanca - 8-8-2017 at 08:12 PM
Yes! I agree that it is so fun to meet folks you see writing. Glad you are well, Jorge.David K - 8-8-2017 at 08:13 PM
You know, most of us 'Baja people' are a lot more alike than different. Sometimes that fact is not revealed until we meet and spend some quality time
together.
Udo and I became friends in the same manner... a visit to my home.
Whatever it takes, try to meet more Nomads!shari - 8-9-2017 at 07:16 AM
Good for you David to umm...."press the flesh"(my new favorite saying) with old new friends...jajaja.
Sr.Osprey is one of the few who can put the..how would you say....unique flavour of baja into words for the public to savour and enjoy. He truly gets
it and baja gets him...good deal for all. I raise my glass to you sir and your lovely wife who puts up with you! Fish on!
As mentioned by others...it is so fun to sit down face to face with some notorious Nomads....and lurkers as well.
Have a super trip David.wessongroup - 8-9-2017 at 05:23 PM

I'm honored to be among the privileged few who have visited Jorge and Lynda in La Ribera. There are few expats in Mexico who have the depth and
longevity of experience that they do, and Jorge has more than a few stories to tell about his life there (and elsewhere).
