Finally the ocean temps have warmed up over 75 here after the storm...which skirted by us...we got a bit of swell, a few hours of 35-40 knot wind and
a few minutes of rain and no road damage at all. Fishing has turned on this week with a wide open Yellowtail bite all over the place. Other catches
include bonita, white fish, calico, dorado and tuna and some marlin have been spotted too so our season has begun....finally! The weather is gorgeous
here, not too hot and we are stoked about the fall fishing.
Shore fishing has also been good with halibut on the chew.
So what do fishing guides do when there are no clients...go fishing for food of course. Capt Juan & deckhand Juanito were out to get bonita for
smoking and nabbed a few nice tails too.

I will attest to the variety in this area; I remember the day when we got the lost coast 'grand slam': yellowtail, dorado, tuna and calicos. I highly
recommend it.Paco Facullo - 9-13-2017 at 06:55 AM
I highly recommend el Capiton' Juan. He and his first mate are extremely knowledgeable besides being great guys and a lot of fun !!
His pongas are well kept also.
I hope to be back down sometime next month.
Can't wait,
But a trip to Panama must come first. ( and yes there will be fishing involved )

when there are yellowtail in all the spots where we look and more, I consider that wide open. Last month it was real spotty and the few schools there
were moved around alot....so I guess ya it's picking up tooBajaboy - 9-13-2017 at 09:27 AM

It has been a gorgeous weather week and local fishing icon Rossman has been taking advantage. Here is that happy guy a couple days ago...and yesterday
he was glowing after his best fishing day EVER as he left a school of 35-40 lb yellowtails biting like crazy! You da man Rossman! (maybe you will post
the photo of those 4 monsters you caught yesterday?)
