Anyone know if the computers at the couple of cafes have USB ports for sending photos?

copied from a U2 message I received asking about the same thing:
I know I have seen your store, which one is it?
I remember the name, but not where I saw it.
Mini-Market Lizzeth is located at the North end of town, just as you come in, on the right hand side of the street. It sits between the Tecate
Deposito and Hotel Las Hamacas. Taco stand "La Carreta" is right next door to it as well.
I have a page for them up on my website, the URL is:
Also, although most cameras need no additional software for downloading photos into a computer, you might still want to bring along any CD's that came
with your camera. May I ask what type it is? If it's just a straight digital camera, not a Digital Video Camcorder you should be fine. If you give me
the make and model number I can download the drivers ahead of time in the even that we would need them.
But you should be able just to plug it in and download your photos right from your camera. We have keyboards with a USB port built into them; just
make sure you bring your USB cable along.
Take care, and drop me a line anytime if you need anything else.

I don't know anything about how the USB port thing might work.....but, last summer I used the internet cafe next to the 'yellow store' and it was
really fast... they charged 10 pesos per hr.Packoderm - 2-21-2005 at 07:39 PM
"Careful...... "
Be careful of what? I have also wondered about this service. It doesn't seem as if it would be too much trouble if the internet cafe has Photo Shop or
equivalent, and if the person who wants to send the photo uses a card reader. One time when I was in Vietnam, I purchased a Polaroid picture that
somebody took of me on a river in a small rowboat. The lady at the internet cafe scanned the photo for me, and I sent it via email. It was no big deal
at all. Using a USB port yourself seems like even less hassle than that. jeans - 2-21-2005 at 07:57 PM

Hola...
This is Mia...I am in Ensenada right now, and I do not have my password, so I will see if I can reply this way.
Yes, the right hand computer at Mini-Market Lizzeth has a keyboard with a USB port built in. Did I remember to install Photoshop on there?! Pretty
sure I did...and you should the icon for it down in the taskbar.
Also, totally unrelated, but just to give a heads up on the road conditions. In Camalu, just South of the traffic light, there is some pretty deep
water across the road. The police were there and slowing everybody down. The water came up to the bottom of the door on my 4x4 Toyota, so go slow,
take it easy, and you should make it through ok.Santiago - 2-22-2005 at 03:43 PM
I'm one of the most careful guys around. In fact, after watching the Weather Channel today, I'm more worried abut making it thru SoCal than Catavina!top - 2-24-2005 at 11:57 AM
