Greetings,

I have been living am in Mulege for the past three months, off and on between here in CA. Now, I wil be here for several months, or more. I am looking for someone/people to swim with. I swim several ties a week, with a snorkel. I use ear plugs and putter around from 45 minutes to two+ hours. I would like company to swim with, though, it is like swimming alone as the snorkel and ear plugs does not make for conversation. Also, I would like to visit places in the area with folks who have similar interests including some mild off-roading, checking out the cave paintings, volcano, swimming,( book club?). I have not met many people here.
Anyone? Age 60, not a heavy-duty athlete
but a fun, heterosexual tomboy.

Go to one of the Bahia Concepcion beaches on a regular basis that is popular with the RV crowd and make some swimming friends. Playa Santispac, Los Cocos, and Playa Coyote are the most popular. There will be many folks that are staying for months. Isla Coyote has a great swimming beach, you need a boat to get there though.

Drop in to Playa Buenaventura. Mark's son Nathan goes out regularly and catches dinner for their restaurant with a face mask and spear. Just after Km. 93, go off to the left and then it is the building to the right, over the little bridge. Mark or Nathan may know someone our age who would like to do the same thing as you?

The restaurant lost its roof from the recent hurricane, so they may be busy with that project?

EDIT: The restaurant is repaired and more good news, they are opening up the hotel that was vandalized by Muñoz and his thugs before Mexican court ordered him to leave and awarded the hotel to Mark and Olivia for all their suffering and damages!

Who wants to see Playa Buenaventura Hotel fully operational again? Last year, we started with 4 eco-rooms (No Electricity but hot on-demand water and memory foam beds. This season, we do have power. I have a few extra helping hands. We are painting and cleaning the remaining 16 rooms. Bigger groups may be interested in houses. (Airbnb)
The entrance is fully repaired after lots of concrete and sweat.
Buenaventura Restaurant is repaired and in regular schedule (Everyday ;)) we are redoing the patio for extra seating and mingle area for Taco Tuesday (Yewww)

Good news about the restaurant as the wife and i are Charter members--GOOD food there always--and super nice people--:bounce::bounce:

You've been in Mulege during the summer. Most gringos leave before the summer. I think you'll find that people start returning in October.
