I'm very familiar with Baja and what I can get at supermarkets etc, but I'm curious if anyone has been able to buy a turkey at the Costco or walmart
during thanksgiving week. I'll be riding a Dirtbikes with 5 other guys from tecate and we would like to have turkey on thanksgiving. Any info would be
great!StuckSucks - 9-27-2017 at 01:47 PM
I know turkeys can be had at the holidays. Years ago, we had Christmas dinner at Restaurant Pekín in La Paz, and all during dinner people kept coming to the restaurant to pick up fully-cooked turkeys to go. It can be
done.BajaBlanca - 9-27-2017 at 02:59 PM
and I bet a lot of restaurants there have a full on turkey meal on offer on the menu if you want to go that route!woody with a view - 9-27-2017 at 03:03 PM

Isn't the word for turkey 'pabo'? Or is there a different term for cooked turkey vs live (or butchered)?

Costco and City Club both have frozen pavos for sale - at least they do the week before T-Day. And they have had them for the last 10 years or so.
Not sure if they ever sell out or not.bajaguy - 9-27-2017 at 08:21 PM

Don't forget to bring the sweet gherkins for the relish tray and a few cans of cranberries. They might be hard to find in Mex.
