A fun read. I see Graham drives a Tacoma.

I noticed the Tacoma from the in-the-bed photo. I think that belonged the people from Escondido he hitched a ride from.

SPM! My favorite baja destination! Lucky for me it is large and little-visited!

Nice I like the write up. That trip is on my to do list.
I might mention that my travels this summer involved a flat and a dead battery. We were in the Honda CRV. The flat was resolved by creeping to a
small town with a grocery store and getting a bottle of 'fix a flat' and aired up until I got to a larger town (Grand Junction) and had Discount Tire
fix the flat.
The dead battery was because I forgot to turn off the refrigerator/freezer and left the car parked at my daughter's for 2 days.
The issue was resolved when the son-in-law whipped out his Lion jump starter and I was good to go.
SO-- now I carry a Lion jump starter and a small air compressor and a tire plug kit. Cost was moderate around $100 for the emergency fail stuff. Of
course if I had been driving the Jeep the only thing missing was a Lion jump starter. Fail !!

What a courageous guy you are, Graham! Sleet, rain and a conked out battery...the stuff of books!
Great read.

Good read. I'm surprised Graham does not have a battery jump start unit such as the Mirostart kit. He needs one for as much traveling he does
especially in Baja.

Yes Tom there are many choices for a jump start with less accessories to reduce the cost, and still have lots of poop for the dead battery. Compare
the battery power.
