As the Day of the Dead Approaches

GypsyJan - 10-29-2017 at 08:03 PM

My big male rottweiler is huddled next to me, putting his paws up and down and swiveling his head as if he sees things.

This is not a made up story to try to be spooky.

Day of the Dead

We visited Hollywood Forever Cemetery for their annual Dia de los Muertos celebration on Saturday afternoon.

Today felt like Dia de los Muertos for Dodger fans.

Man, what an amazing game!!!! Five hours and 17 minutes of baseball.

Some will say that's 5+ hours of boredom. But one needs to feel the TENSION between pitches, as well as the result of the pitches.

Lost our dog recently. Her ashes will be a sad addition to our Day of the Dead altar this year. But she will have some treats and toys near her!!

Game 6 in LA should be a dandy.

NOv.2nd is Day of the Dead so travelers be aware that it is a holiday and many places are closed and the panteons are full! If you have an amigo who has passed on, maybe you want to visit the tumba with some of their favorite food & drink and spend some time with them.

The photo you posted was like a punch in the gut! Your girl was a spitting image of my Cleo, that I lost two years ago after fifteen years together. I still miss her, and hope that my current companion develops at least some of the old girl's endearing qualities.

What was your girl's name? I think you posted her image a while back, and it had the same effect on me then.
