The arched wall entrance that Jack Swords photographed at Rancho Novillo have collapsed. Jack was in the area and reported yet another historic site
has fallen... due to weather, not treasure seekers. The Novillo chapel was on the Camino Real between La Paz and Todos Santos and may have been a
mission visita or later building.
This is a reason why Jack and others are documenting these sites with photos and GPS while something remains of them. The pile of bricks would
otherwise end up as building material and get carted off, as in times past.
The photo is from my Baja Missions web page, in the chapter for La Paz... http://vivabaja.com/bajamissions

Speaking of documenting all the misiones, Ed Vernon, the author, will be at Pez Gordo in San Jose del Cabo on March 10th from 5-8pm for a book
signing. His book "Las Misiones Antiguas" lists all the missions and many of the visitas with gps coordinates

What a shame that another historic structure continues to deteriorate.
