What even happened to that Punta Canoas sailboat family?

Gawd, that was an interesting drama for a good while.

It was an especially good sounding board for the values and creeds of the Nomad community. It ranged from "leave 'em alone" to "how dare they do that". Were the wife and kids being held against their will? Or was it an overly possessive, Baja-phobic family back home that cooked the whole thing up?

Is the boat still there? Did they move on; to disappear into the Nomad annals along with our other much-beloved characters like Gotta Peso, Skeet and even Pompano?

I always get sentimental at the holidays.............

Ugh, I guess it was Punto Cono.

Page 20 - 3/10/13 (7 months after running aground):

"Received news today that Lea and the kids are back in the USA safe and sound with Lea's mom, and the kids are back in school.

William is still with the boat in Baja."

Would make a good Lifetime movie.
What ever happened to Skeet?

Was gotta-peso a member here?

No but if you go to google earth they have/had a shot of him standing on his shrine while the camera went past. Can only imagine what he was thinking.
