yes

Lots of vehicles of all types navigate it regularly, closer to 23 miles of dirt.
How quickly depends on your vehicle.
You may likely encounter semi tractor-trailers going pretty slow.

San Felipe to Mulege
dmer - 12-17-2017 at 09:43 AM
Hi All,
I am planning on driving to Mulege tomorrow from San Felipe. I hear that about 15 miles of RT 3 is not paved, but it will take me to rRT 1. Is the
unpaved part drivable? I have a Honda Pilot, 4wd, but not very high clearance.
Thanks,

Thank you and Thank you for the information.

no 4wd needed

Hard packed roadway, typical dirt road with a few rocks thrown in for a couple of miles west of Coco's. You do not need to be concerned about
clearance driven at a reasonable speed.

RT3?

Mex highway 3 will take you to Ensenada. Highway 5 is the one that heads south to Mex 1.David K - 12-17-2017 at 10:31 AM
Seems good guides and maps are needed!
obvious to me....

...that he was referring to the road from San Felipe through Gonzaga to Highway 1 at Chapala, then south to Mulege
The thought that he misnumbered it in his question seemed not even worth mentioning.

For ñ: Press and hold down Alt key and punch 1-6-4 with your other finger, then release the Alt key (at least on my PC).mtgoat666 - 12-19-2017 at 08:38 PM

You could just turn on Spanish keyboard in settings, and put stickers on changed keys of your USA keyboard ... and a new keyboard purchase is so cheap even a Toyota driver can afford one, maybe $20 dtbushpilot - 12-19-2017 at 09:46 PM
Or you could just type manana without the squiggly line and everyone will still know what you mean. Hey, call me lazy but I like to think of it as
being practical......but that's just me...bajabuddha - 12-19-2017 at 11:37 PM

You said: "(the "en-yay" doesn't work any more here)"
I simply showed it is not a "here" issue because it does work here: ñ
Don't be mad at me because you have other issues.
