Wishful thinking. If AMLO gets elected, who knows what happens in Mexico?
50 millions foreign visitors is a nightmare for Mexico haters, who seem to think that the next homicide in the news that is drug related will be the
end of Mexico tourism.
Mexico haters, usually lean right, and so have a fear of a Mexican left-wing politician like AMLO.
I was so sad that AMLO, lost a very close, and manipulated election in 2006, and instead Mexico, elected Felipe Calderon, of the PAN party, that in
many ways is like the GOP in the US, because of it's right-wing polices, and strong ties to the Catholic church, like the religious-right, sas the
GOP's ear in the US. It also led to privatization of businesses like Texmex, where Carlos Slim, started America Movil, and then became the richest
man in the world at one point, while the rich in Mexico, continued to get richer, and the poor continued to be poor, and the middle class never really
develop in Mexico.
Then in 2012, I couldn't believe, Mexico, returned to the old guard, the PRI party, and elected Enrique Nieto, and tried a mixture of old ideas, and
neo-liberal polices( neo-liberal, are right-wing polices) are capitalist ideas from the US that seem to get lost in the translation, and end in
disaster for most Mexican, except the super rich.
So it's about time Mexico, tries something new, and actually votes in Andrés Manuel López Obrador. It's his time, and really what could Mexico lose
by trying something different?
Of course, you better believe multinational corporate interests, and election interference by the US, will be coming after AMLO hard! They will try
to paint him as a radical left-leaning socialist and boogeyman who will run Mexico into the ground.
Hey, if the US, elected Trump, then surely Mexico could elect AMLO.

My statement was value-neutral.
But think about this, for a minute. A candidate supported by JJJ's form of logic? Unnerving.
