Several years ago, we used IonEarth during the Vegas to Reno race -- similar techology to RacingTrax. It actually worked quite well despite being piled on top of Windows Mobile.
On the map page you could see the race course with race cars -- the icons prefixed with "C" are us chase guys paralleling on the highway.
There was also a page to see specifics, both for race and chase cars, including race mile and current ground speed. In the case of our Class 10,
R1093, he was DOA at race mile 46.4.

Wow, just got the Stela thing figured out, now this? What is wrong with
