Towing a buddies boat/trailer south and he won't be present. I've heard that a notarized permission letter would work. Planing on letter being in
Spanish and including my passport number along with boat/trailer and TIP paperwork noted as well. Carrying all original paperwork / insurance. Anyone
done this?
Also, crossing south at San Luis De Colorado, Senora, not passing the free zone. Thanks.

It has been too many years ago to be very relevant, but I did exactly what you intend to do pulling my dad's boat into Sonora.
My permission slip was in English, but the notary stamp seemed to an important factor!
