I was trying to think of why I am the way I am.
I mean really, why does any of us do the things we do, or make the choices we make?
Who are we?
So, I decided it's this guys fault. And he owes me big time too.
When I was just a wee "little buck" I watched this show with my family. My dad was a pilot and almost all my family fished in 1 place or another.
Colorado, Wisconson, Michigan.
So we watched. I'm sure I fired off rapid "little buck" questions to my dad who answered with patient amusement.
I clearly remember after 1 special episode and I said "Dad, that is the job I want when I get big enough. Can I do that?"
So, basically I was asking if I could be president or an astronaut, etc.
I can remember his response to the absurdity of the question. I can read it from memory now but "little buck" was as pure as snow and believed
anything was possible.
After suppressing a laugh and a smarta$$ put-down (that's my dad!) he said "sure boy, you can be whatever you want to be".
