But back to the Turkish National, I don't think what he did was that bad. It's not against the law to carry your gun in your luggage, as long as it's
not carry on, and it's in hard-sided container that's lock. The same thing with gun parts.
BTW, personally I believe the CBP did have both reasonable suspicion, and probable cause in this case, and I'm not sure what the Turkish National's
lawyer, was trying to do, but I'll enjoy the ruling just the same, because now the CBP will need at least reasonable suspicion if they decide to do
intrusive
forensic searches on our cell phones.
