Why don't we go together? I'm just up the road at Asuncion now (during winter months). I wouldn't recommend going in the summer anyway.
There's also this pool nearby which had a water flowing into it and therefore stayed pretty clean. They let me swim in it. Les would like it as well.

" … this pool nearby"
That's their irrigation water. They let the warm springs water fill the reservoir, and when it's full, they let it flow out - the rows of the garden
are designed to capture the water from the pool to irrigate it. Cool system.
There is a warm springs hot tub of sorts nearby. It's private property, but they might let you use it. Something else interesting - on the walk to
the irrigation pool, on the left side, you'll see some grape vines. Those are from the mission days - still bearing fruit. Sometimes when I visit I
bring packets of vegetable seeds since they have a large area to use them.BajaBlanca - 7-24-2018 at 08:45 PM

San Borja is one of my top 10 places to visit in all of Baja! It is so photogenic and like stepping back in time.
The drive in is a magical one like a page out of Dr.Suess. Spend the night under the palapa...dip in the hot pool, visit the gardens, marvel at the
gigantic old growth mango tree, and of course take in the unique mission...that caracol staircase is worth the trip!
And get the kids to take you to see the cave paintings nearby... when Gerardo was a kid he took us there and told us to stay back while he climbed up
to the cave first in case there was a mountain lion in there...he said once one jumped out over his head!!!
priceless experience!
