It is not that hard. Clean first with toluene or acetone. Use the two part glue specifically for your type of boat (either PVC or Hypalon). Rough up the gluing surface, follow directions- its not too bad. Try to weight it down when its drying to get all edges.

The 2 part adhesive is basically a contact cement you let it dry then put it together and preferably use a roller on it or pound it with you fist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

use a piece of waxed paper between the patch and the weight.

in an emergency you can use PVC pipe glue.

For fast temporary repairs use Duct tape never go any where in Baja without this necessity.

We have a SeaEagle inflatable kayak...got a small puncture paddling around the bay in front of the beach on Coronado Island...pulled it in, put a patch on, ate lunch, and took it back out...held beautifully...it was very easy...but the cleaning part is very important.
