Just read that Northbound Mexicali West to Calexico, their is a new U.S. port of entry. Sounds like their may some construction issues on Mexicali
side. This opened as of 9-11-18.
Anyone been through there?
Any issues? mjs - 9-30-2018 at 08:13 AM
Went north yesterday using Sentri. Sentri enters from Calzada de Los Presidentes. Regular lanes look like they still enter from the old road along the
boarder fence.
There's construction on the Mexican side for what looks to be new ready lanes. No impact on northbound traffic. Road construction on the U.S. side was
a mess with delays as northbound and southbound traffic has to cross. Overall was about 30-40 minutes to cross and maybe another 10 minutes on U.S.

If one is using the regular lanes returning, the old lanes
along the border fence, I believe the st. is called Colon,
are still bring used?
and not Presidente Ave? Any opinion as to
the Imm Office location at the new West crossing?
I assume it would be to the left as you enter Mex at
the new West crossing. Thanks for your time

Went through yesterday morning. Still enter from along fence on old road. I tapers down to 1 lane. Then the 1 lane turns out to the next street and
passes the old terminal and takes you to the new one. Sentri looked nice and fast.
mjs question for you

You wrote - Sentri enters from Calzada de Los Presidentes. - how is this different from what we've done with SENTRI in the past? We've stayed in the
third lane from the border fence and to the left where the k-rails begin.
I'm not familiar enough with the streets to know Calzada de los Presidentes.
