Hello, long time stalker, first time poster. I'm sure this has been asked but I can't find it.
I will be driving down to Pescadero at the end of the month and will be pulling an enclosed trailer. Inside will be 4 bikes. Mine and the wife's
will be registered in Colorado and should be fine. I'll also have a 212cc mini bike and the boys Yamaha PW50 with training wheels. I'll have a bill
of sale for the mini and the PW but my question is should I also get them registered? I've brought bikes before into Baja that were not registered
after some discussion at the border. In Colorado, if operated on private land, bikes do not need to be registered.
Should I just pay the $60 to get them registered for ease of crossing? Do they really investigate registration for what is clearly a child's bike?

Be easier if they were registered otherwise they can object and send you back

You'd probably make it across. But personally I'd just pay to avoid the hassle.

Yea I think I will go the registration route to avoid the hassle.
One more question...I will also have some home/kitchen goods and lots of baby/kid toys supplies such as cribs, bookshelf, clothes, camping and moto
gear and some carpentry tools. Moving with the fam to BCS.
Would you suggest declaring these items at the border and paying the import tax or rolling through as if we were staying for a few months and
returning to the US. We won't have THAT much stuff, but the 6x12 trailer will most likely be full.

Camping gear, moto gear, and tools are going to be fine. Toys and clothes too, I suppose.
Really only the furniture could be an issue. Probably cheap stuff like that where you are headed.
You are definitely headed to secondary and are probably gonna make you unload it all if it's cramp packed.
