We are crossing into Baja in Calexico/Mexicali and plan on using the East Calexico POE. The FMM online form has menu items for the POE of either
Mexicali I or Mexicali II. I've looked everywhere I can think of and I can't find anywhere that explains which one the east crossing is. I usually
see it described in Mexican websites as "Nuevo Mexicali". Does anyone know if the eastern Calexico crossing is I or II?

Mexicali I is the original border (west) at the end of Hwy. 111 in Calexico. The recently moved it slightly west to a new crossing facility. The INM
office, where you get the FMM validated may still be at the replaced crossing (where pedestrians still cross).
Mexicali II is the newer EAST border, several miles east of Calexico.

As posted, the newer (actually 8 yrs. + old maybe) Mexicali
East crossing is #2, the newer downtown Mexicali crossing,
new as in 3 months old, has been referred to as Nuevo, it
is confusing, info on the online fmm has to be EXACT as to
Passport name, was a guy recently denied validation as he
did not have the printed reciept that apparently comes with
the online fmm
