It has been a frustrating fall here in Asuncion for fishing charters. After years of cancelling charters due to hurricanes in September, this year I
didnt book any and got anglers to switch to October. Well we had to cancel the first 2 weeks of October due to hurricanes....sheesh!!! October is the
new September it seems with water temps just warming up here the last couple weeks of October which is when the yellowtail started to show
up....better late than never I guess! Our first charter this month yielded some nice tails and they got 7 different species in one day!
This weeks fishermen targeted yellowtail & calico bass... Nomad Mick got into some nice ones with his buddies!
Rossman got his 2nd wahoo a few days ago and he invited the gang to LOncheria Mary to share the booty....it was delicioso!
He has caught a few tuna as well but they are still scarce here.
The area is full of big bonita and skipjack and we anxiously await more wahoo & tuna!
The weather has been glorious with daytime temps in the 80's and water temps in mid 70's and finally the winds have laid down even in the afternoons!

Rossman lured another wahoo into his tinny yesterday and another two just toyed with his affections before swimming free!
