Anyone have a recommendation for a nice laid back place to stay for a week or so in the Cabo Pulmo/Los Frailes area?
Thanks!wilderone - 11-1-2018 at 08:39 AM
Definitely not Los Frailes - IMO it's not nice or laid back. Lots of private homes and fences (depends on your point of view I guess - if you're in
one of those homes behind a fence, you might consider it nice laid back if you're from Minnesota). You can visit there from somewhere else. Cabo
Pulmo has some accommodations, few restaurants, pretty small "town". En route to Cabo Pulmo there are a couple places that looked interesting - one
hyped "we have our own reef". Sorry, I don't know the name, but maybe can find out online. Just my dos centavos. Pack your own snorkel and be sure
to drive to Los Arbolitos beach - about 3 miles past Cabo Pulmo (but before Los Frailes). Then, walk the coastline path about 1/4 mi. so. to Playa
Sirenita for snorkeling and exploring.gringorio - 11-1-2018 at 09:49 AM
Thanks for the feedback! It's been a long long time since I've been in that area.
How about toward Todos Santos or La Paz?volcano - 11-1-2018 at 10:38 AM

What are you looking to do for your week? You want beaches I assume? Any nightlife? I found Todos Santos charming enough - pretty laid back with
good food, but the beaches are Pacific Ocean rough waves (but good surfing beach at Los Cerritos). La Paz was too big a city for me! I liked Sol de
Mayo outside of Santiago in the Sierra de la Laguna (hiking, waterfall, stream pools, BBQ available, restaurant, quiet). You can do a day trip to El
Chorro hotsprings at the beginning or end of that. Then maybe a couple nights at or near Cabo Pulmo (+ Playa Arbolitos); then ??
