photo test

joerover - 11-9-2018 at 03:03 PM

I opened an account at 500px, but the photo did not share

With photobucket a chunk of junk, (trash your photobucket,) I wil try again to find a free photo sharing sight.

I have posted many times: www.postimages.org and all you need to do is set the size to 640x480 for message boards or at max. 800x600 pixels to fit Nomad. Use the Hotlink for Forums link to paste it on the Nomad page.

No need for 3rd party image hosting if you're running Windows.

Download and install http://www.irfanview.com and resize your photo, then upload in your post via "Insert an image"

Posted too quick maybe. On my end right now, I have to click "Preview Post" to get all the buttons to show up, then I can "Choose File" if it's been pre-shrunk, like this:

These club dues are merely part of the commitment test. If you are sufficiently committed to you will figure it out. But, it's enough of a pain in the a## to keep many of our posts briefer. Many of my fans are delighted.

Seeing if this really works

Wow, I'm impressed with myself for posting a photo. I guess I am now an official member of the club, until I forget how I did it then back to the end of the line.

Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke

Glad to see www.postimages.org worked easily for you Howard.

AKgringo - 11-10-2018 at 11:06 AM

Howard, which site did you use, postimage or IrfanView?

David K - 11-10-2018 at 11:10 AM

Click on his photos and it opens in a new tab from the host. www.postimages.org

I still use Photobucket mostly because I have thousands of images and maps there, and they fixed all their stupid issues from last year. However, I opened an account at PostImages and have a few pic and maps there... totally free and easy!

Howard - 11-10-2018 at 11:20 AM

I used www.postimages.org

If I can do it a cave man can do it.

There were a lot of pop up advertisements for a Russian dating site however the photo's that came up automatically were pretty easy on the eyes though. I was offended and put off for at least the first 2-3 seconds!

AKgringo - 11-10-2018 at 11:53 AM

Thanks for the info Howard, I really should give it a try. I mean posting a photo, not the Russian beauty thing!

How do you know it's not a sunrise?

David K - 11-11-2018 at 08:58 AM

Umm, too early for alcohol or just a 50-50 chance of being sunset?

norte - 11-11-2018 at 04:56 PM

I thought Doug was working on rehosting that would take care of the resizing issue.

He already resizes images, but nothing bigger than 1600x1600. He resizes them down to 800.
