For a few days in early November some of my fellow NOMADS and I crossed the border at TJ picking up our tourist papers. Headed south to Ensenada where
we met Rudy at Costco. It was on to San Quintin and Jardines for the night.
Who would have thought that Baja would Ban Bras, what's a woman to do.
Fried chicken is a comin. Our esteem chef, no not Col. Sanders, Phil.
Here are some pictures of Jardines.
Even a tree house for us to play in.
The next morning we're off to El Rosario for breakfast at Mama's and to fill our gas tanks and cans. Down Hwy 1 to KM133 at Guayaquil and west we go
to Rancho Santa Catarina. There we talk to a couple of cowboys. Actually Rudy and Ed did most of the talking since they both speak Spanish much better
than me.
That lonely road in Baja.
Cactus cactus everywhere.
It's out to Puerto Catarina for a look around then we tried the shortcut road to Punta Canoas. Too many washout ruts too deep to get across so we
backtrack the way we came in to the Y and pick up the road to Puerto Canoas where we make camp for the night. For dinner Phil prepares Tri-Tip with
all the trimmings.
A visitor came by to say hi.
Rudy decides to dump one of his gas cans.
The next morning we make our way south along the coast.
Looking north.
Looking south, Mr. Ed is combing the beach.
Further south we go along the coast. We make camp with the waves lapping the beach. For dinner Phil prepares chicken breast with coldslaw, mixed
veggies and cornbread. Maybe he is related to Col. Sanders.
A family gathering to discuss todays events appears to be in the making. Mr and Mrs bird what do you think.
John demonstrates the correct usage of the portable John, no pun intended.
The next day we continue on to Santa Rosalillita where Phil and Ed keep going for another couple of days to surf and relax. Rudy, John and I head
north to Rudy's place at San Felipe. Along the way we stop at Cocos for a visit. Saturday Morning John and I are homeward bound.
Another great Baja trip with good friends. JZ - 11-22-2018 at 12:46 PM

Thanks Tom. Happy Thanksgiving. The turkey here is done, but a smoked turkey is on it's way... It's all about choices.
