Right now I am feeling like a proud papa. My 3 year old stallion, Lucero, just won his first race here at Ejido Downs ( the street besides the socer
field).
I've got Angel, a 15 year old that likes my horse, for a jockey. He has been training him for the last 3 weeks and yesterday was his first race. He
won going away. Later that afternoon, because no one else could get a wager they liked and no one was racing, my jockey raced his horse against mine
with one of his buddies on board Lucero. We won again. He was running 200 varas both times.
I bought a six pack with my winnings. My jinete took his girl out to dinner with his.
Enclosed is a shot of Lucero being warmed up. My photo of the race itself isn't very good.
I understand that there might be horse races at the next Cactus Fest at El Rosario. Maybe we need to have the Nomad Cup to see who has the fastest
horse on this board.
The contest to determine who has the most bull continues here daily.

Thanks for the good story and my Hat is off to you for your Horsemanship.
Most people do not know that Mexican Horse Trainers ride and Train Their Horse "Bareback".{ Not the"Charro's".}

Burro Bob - What a beautiful creature! - and I do refer to the horse. Thanks for sharing. You set up the horse race, I'll place my peso on Lucero.
