I guess Rosemary's ideal of inexpensive and mine are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Call me cheap.
Every week they have a similar travel article. The budgets are always way out of what most people consider "inexpensive" or "budget priced." I
guess paying $500 for a room during a weekend is "economy" pricing. Maybe if you live in Bel Air.

What a joke.
Things are relatively inexpensive, which is why my two-night stay cost $440. Alm - 12-18-2018 at 12:33 PM
Few possible reasons for articles like this: promoting more expensive stays (since inexpensive are often popular already), ignorance (web bloggers
often write about things they don't know much about), and (very common ailment) - unscrupulousness in making money. They are writing to make a few
quick bucks on clicks, not to culturally enrich you and me or create a masterpiece and legacy for posterity. Web is full of floating garbage.Paco Facullo - 12-18-2018 at 12:55 PM
Well considering the source " MySanFelipeVacation "
Me thinks that there is an agenda ........
He just doesn't know that the folks around these parts (Baja Nomads) know the truth..

Does indeed look like advertising. This is OP post #3, all 3 posts advertise SF rentals. Somebody please remove this post from Q&A section to
Classifieds - there are NO questions in there.

Correct, it's nothing but spam.freediverbrian - 12-18-2018 at 06:17 PM
Most travel articles and blogs are written by authors that have been comped hotels and meals. And published in papers and magazines that sold ad
space to those mentioned in the article. All a bunch of BS for Joe public.mtgoat666 - 12-18-2018 at 06:31 PM
That travel story sure got you gray haired skin flints worked up!
The writer paid $120/nite for a hotel. Is that out of line for a good hotel in san felipe? mtgoat666 - 12-18-2018 at 06:33 PM
You add up gas, insurance, food, drinks and hotel, $400 for a long weekend dont sound unreasonableStuckSucks - 12-18-2018 at 06:39 PM

Zackly. I learned from a friend in SF that the article was sponsored by the El Cortez and MySanFelipeVacation, hence, the fine result.Paco Facullo - 12-18-2018 at 06:44 PM
Quote from article,,,, "The rooms are bare-bones and dated but not expensive (from $120 per night year-round). "
And yes that is "out of line"............

I have not stayed in san felipe in 20 years, because i found it to be a miserable chithole. These days i just pass thru, dont stop for more than
gasoline and a coke. freediverbrian - 12-18-2018 at 07:04 PM

Reasonable Rooms
MrBillM - 12-18-2018 at 08:02 PM
Back in the early '70s leaving Indio on a Friday afternoon for Gonzaga Bay, we'd stop overnight in San Felipe at the Hotel Iris.
$3.00-$5.00. Clean rooms and linens. Not too many insects. THAT ($20-$25 today) was reasonable.TMW - 12-18-2018 at 08:19 PM
There are several decent hotels in SF in the $50 per night range. On race weekends the price usually goes up over $100 per night at some hotels. A few
years ago I paid $110 per night for three nights at the Las Palmas on the hill across from the Riviera during a SF250 race, last minute booking. Same
thing a year or two later at the Costa Azul. I usually stay at the El Capitan for $40-$45.
