Looking for current road info on dirt road from Mikes Sky Ranch to Rancho Meling, If you been there and what type of vehicle are you using.
Any wash outs that are not passable, deep sand, etc.

I was on part of it last year in October and Trail of Missions tour drove it last June in modified 4x4s with difficulty.
I would say the road currently is good for motorcycles only and fair for lifted/ modified 4x4s. It is badly eroded and receives no maintenance as it

We were thinking of staying at Rancho Meling for a night as I believe Mike's is full the night we will be there?
If we can't do that road,any ideas of nearby lodging options (inside)?

Coyotes and melings best to make reservations in advance. The route on dirt bikes a ball now with dirt wet. We have been riding 11 days now green
grass and wet dirt everyday. As far as 4x4 on route like David said one with mods. I would not take my 4x4 diesel Nissan as would for sure get body

From what I understand, there are different classes of vehicles. Basically all out offroad vehicles, a touring class which is usually 4wd (that's us)
or high clearance and then a "any car" class which could be a regular car.
I think we are expected to go the official route which is the shortest route to qualify but the cars that can't make that can go around or whatever
way they need to go.
