We are headed to Europe for 4.5 months and need a sitter for our hotelito. It is 7 rooms and 8 baths.
In the past, friends stay for free and are responsible for cleaning up after guests. I am really good at it and can train! We leave first week in
May and come back mid Sept, This is our SLOW season. Fishing picks up in September.
Please contact husband Les if you think you are interested.
Here is a link to the webpage I created to give you an idea of the house/hotel.

I might have someone though... fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 10:26 AM
I am guessing there might be a fish or 2 swimming outfront during slow season.fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 10:29 AM
I'm working on this...fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 10:39 AM
I litterally just paid my 1st month's rent for San Quintin... yesterday.
I am moving in on May 1.
I would have gladly posponed that for the summer to visit your paradise for a few months...
But maybe my best fishing friend Cory.
If I could convince my son... he is 24 and a tea totaller. Hard worker.fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 12:27 PM
I'm calling dibs....
Corey can do it...
I will call Les soon I hope.
He says he will do it if he can fish and hangout on the beach in his sparetime...BajaBlanca - 4-2-2019 at 02:26 PM
Yellowtail are out there, right now, and it is totally off season! Tons of time to fish, tons of amigos to hang out with, all he needs is his cell
phone and pronto.fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 03:05 PM
I can do it.
I will still rent my littlr house and Inn sit.
My girl Linda says she will do it with me.
She is a retired Physician's Assist. But still licensed and active.
And ofcourse everyone knows my resume

I know we posted runway pics for La Bocana but I searched and no luck.
Can someone please post a runway pic.
Blanca and Les have a runway...
I have a runway...
I'm getting an idea...fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 04:42 PM
I need fuel from Loreto anyway that far down.
I can make that in 4 hours.David K - 4-2-2019 at 04:43 PM
Oh boy, fishbuck at the helm of La Bocana Inn. How far away is the runway? I just looked, a 5,200' long runway but back in 1997, it was already rocked
and ditched: N 26°49.491', W 113°39.799'
Well, it is 6 km from La Bocana Inn, plus on Google Earth, you can see rows of rocks across the runway... so sad!
fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 05:06 PM
I thought there was one still active down the beach by another little hotel?
I'm sure there is.MMc - 4-2-2019 at 05:13 PM
The airport is in punta Abreojos and Campo Rene.fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 05:14 PM
Now that there are mounds of dirt preventing planes from landing, the runway has a new use - as a motorcycle track.
That old runway is a motocross track

Different La Bocana, I am afraid. There are many La Bocanas in Baja... most often where a river or lagoon empties into the ocean and sometimes where a
canyon opens up.fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 05:42 PM
You mean like the mouth of a river?fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 05:49 PM
Campo Rene. That's the spot. Thank you !!!David K - 4-2-2019 at 05:49 PM
or a lagoon, as in the case of Blanca and Les's La Bocana.fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 05:55 PM
Ok. Canpi Rene a little too far and on the wrong side of a lot of lagoons and such.
Any closer? Does La Purisima have a runway?

or a lagoon, as in the case of Blanca and Les's La Bocana.
Man, I just can't get one past you Dave fishbuck - 4-2-2019 at 06:28 PM

I am realizing I don't think I can do this. I beter keep my focus on my camp and getting moved in.
So I hope someone will step up.
I have been studying this and it is so cool.
I have wanted to fish this area for years.
I think I found a few runways nearby. caj13 - 4-3-2019 at 10:00 AM
blanca,
Do you need someone who speaks spanish? AKgringo - 4-3-2019 at 10:34 AM
Yes indeed fishbuck! Your ability to make a U-turn at full throttle is well documented!
[Edited on 4-3-2019 by AKgringo]
Thank you for noticing my ability to change my mind when I want to.
It's an old Potowatomie trick taught to me by the Chief himself.
Plus I wanted to give you to oportunity to help Les and Blanca yourself.

Sure wish you would have made this announcement about 3 weeks ago. Committed to a job where I have to live there until July 19th, otherwise I'd be
all over this. My favorite Baja place to kite.
You might try getting ahold of Ian & Megan at Exotikite. They run the kite school in the spring there. They usually pack up & leave for Hood
River, OR after May but who knows?

Hi all!
Spanish not needed but a plus.
Sorry I am not on more often but my Uncle, who was near and dear to me died and the loss (although expected) is daunting. I am visiting my Mom for
her 85th birthday and busy with family.
If no one goes for it, we will simply close down but it seems a shame for someone not to have the experience of living in our neck of the woods.
fishbuck - 4-3-2019 at 04:20 PM
Thank you for letting me dream a little Blanca.
Very sorry for your loss. It is never easy.
But I found a runway for you.
All you need is a ride home from La Purisima.
