We normally use the northern road through the wash but has anyone used the road just south of the 40km marker to get to San Basilio?4x4abc - 4-29-2019 at 11:37 AM
great road!
have taken it many times
the caretaker (Alan) at Rancho Pitahaya will let you through if you ask
you may have to hunt down another guard to unlock the upper gate, right before the south road connects to the main roadJZ - 4-29-2019 at 12:02 PM
Here is the track w/o the gate. Anyone got the one that Max is talking about? Believe it is a few miles South?

Thanks for the information. It definitely looks better/shorter but wasn't sure about the property you have to drive through. defrag4 - 4-29-2019 at 01:17 PM

Yep, they don't want you on their private road, obviously and the locked gate at the far end with nobody around would be a big waste of time driving
in to discover. chuckie - 4-29-2019 at 06:00 PM
Twice (slow learner) I have taken the wrong wash to the North which dead ends at a fish camp.As you back track pay attention,as there are a couple of
other wrong turns on the way back that are easy totake..No biggie....jes sayin...
