Does a Dongle like GoogleChrome or Roku work in Baja?
And if so what brand works best.
A Dongle plugs into the HDMI port of a TV.
And then you can download streaming tv shows from your phone or other internet connected device wirelessly (bluetooth?)
I need this so I can always watch Startrek and Spongebob whereever I go.
And fishing shows and motocross... and Game of Thrones... so I can grow my hair like John Snow.

Why wouldn't it work? It just uses the WiFi internet to access whatever site you want. I'm looking at switching to HULU TV or YouTube TV. Hulu is
currently $45 and YouTube is $50 per month. I'm not sure how you would select a local channel (in English) but I assume you can use whatever zip code
you wish.
Hulu does have History Channel and YouTube does not. They both get all the main news and such channels, CBS, NBC, FOX, MSNBC, CNN, FNC. Not as good
a selection as my current ATT Uverse, but ATT is going to jack me from $102 per month to about $150 in August.
My breakpoint is $60 for Wifi and $45 for Hulu, $105, so likely bye-bye ATT Uverse unless they do something to prevent my promo price from jumping.
I've had a Roku stick on my upstairs TV for years, no problem with it at all. Only about $35 on Ebay. Using ATT box now, but when I had Spectrum I
just used the Roku alone.

I tried a Roku in my East Cape house with little success. The problem was not the connection but the blocking of content because I was in Mexico and
not the US. The only channel I would watch that was not regionally blocked was SKY. I did not try it with a VPN.
I am now using an Amazon Firestick 4k with the Kodi program running Cabo Internet TV. 400+ Channels including US locals, national news and movie
channels.
Go to www.cabointernetv.com for channel lists and cost. I bought the Firestick in the US and set it up per the instructions on the web site. Not easy,
but not impossible. I'm sure a millennial would laugh at my struggles but I made it work. It is nowhere as easy as turning on a TV tuner but if I can
make it work I'm sure most can.
I'm not sure if I will stick with it as I have Dish in the US and I can bring down a receiver, find a dish locally and have most of my US feed for
less than $10/month but for now Cabo Internet TV is a very viable option. Plus, it's not locked to a location. Plug it in anywhere you get wifi and

We used a roku at my friends in tijuana but only used netflix and youtube.
I have apple tv. I can only rent movies or use netflix because of the restricted area stuff but I can log into my vpn and screen mirror with any apple

We use Roku in Loreto for Netflix and Amazon Prime. Some content is not available in Mexico but a lot is. I tried to set up a VPN but had to get it

I have both a Roku and a fire stick. Both work fine for Netflix and add on channels.
