Paraiso del Mar, La Paz Magote Development

As I opened the Baja Nomad site today I noticed a link advertisement for the Paraiso del Mar. This is the development? on the magote in La Paz the has some serious environmental issues, major opposition, and inappropriate siting. As the other La Paz developments proceed, this one seems stalled. People are getting different answers relative to water, sewage, and other infrastructure issues from the local office. One previous real estate office has disassociated itself from the proposed development. In the past six months nothing has been done except luring prospective buyers out there. They have scoured the native vegetation, harassed people walking on "their" beach, and use the beach as a major roadway since they have not yet built the proposed road out there. As a result, few birds are seen on this beach which looks like a highway now. Contrasted with other projects in La Paz (there are many), this one is not one which I would want to be connected with.

Jack, I just looked at that website and it does look as if the big gun real estate company has pulled out as they are not mentioned on any page and we all know that they would be there if still involved. I met a mexicano who was working with them as a architect and quit because he did not like what they were doing. He didnt go any further than that but I got the idea that it had something to do with the environment.
Just another example of PROGRESS without a mind.
