1,000 Miles in Baja on Honda Monkeys

Pretty decent video of 2 guys riding tiny 125 bikes to La Paz. The most interesting part is when they come in from MX 1 to San Evaristo.

Conditions couldn't have been much worse through there. Entertaining video. BTW, those two are pretty well known Moto journalists and both are very good riders. Good testimonial for Honda quality!

They made the mistake of leaving Loreto way too late.

Looked like fun, that would be a long ride on small scoots....

Paco Facullo - 7-29-2019 at 08:44 AM

Fun video THANKS !

I'fn you dig that then check out the Adventurists https://www.theadventurists.com/

They've been doing the Monkey run Puru and monkry run Morocco for a while.

But their Mongol rally is the "beat-all road trip rally" !

A 10,000 mile road trip in a piece-a-sheet small car.

Love their tag line: "Motoring stupidity on a global scale"

Great video. Makes my back hurt just to watch it.

Jinete Viejo - 7-29-2019 at 06:15 PM

Great video indeed. I like how they were laughing and joking all the way to the finish. Great spirit!

Great show

They were sneaky. They put scenes out of order.

Go from some beach near San Felipe to mixing in shots from San Rafael. And then continue the journey to Coco's next.

The same on the San Evaristo road to La Paz. The grounded ship is towards the end of the road. They then go backwards towards the beginning in the next shot.

Good eye! I was amazed at how much the camp at the end of the San Felipe beach looked like Pancho's old camp. It looks like it took a lot of editing to come up with that route!

bajaric - 7-30-2019 at 12:40 PM

Yeah, some editing going on there. At 3:39 it looks like they are heading into Maneadero Valley then changes to somewhere else.
Cool vid.

They're too young to need it, just a little Tequila in the evening.

bajatrailrider - 7-31-2019 at 02:48 PM

Haha I need that before I ride

It's nice that way, it leaves the adventurer with a little homework to do.
Remember way back when , the adventure was studying maps, figuring out photos and putting it all together. I loved it when a plan or gamble payed off.

Wonder how that fuel injection will hold up.

Fi on a dirt bike is great till it goes bad on trail. Unlike a carb you can fix
