I think Cameron and his film crew did a nice job... It was all in good fun, I got to ride with Curt LeDuc, and I got to talk about the mission history
at Guadalupe, west of Mulegé.
We made a full loop that day going in from the road that heads on across to the Pacific side and coming out on the recently reopened canyon road
through San José de Magdalena that was destroyed in 2014.
This trip last May was the recon for the actual tour, which was in June. We did not have Jim McCoy's helicopter, but a clip of it from the actual tour
is in this preview. Aerial shots are from the drone the film crew had.
After we came out from San José de Magdalena, we stopped at Palo Blanco and that is where we are looking at my maps and discussed going to see San
Borjitas cave... which we did, but that is not in this episode, maybe next Wednesday's preview release?

Besides the look at me I´m so great and name dropping I´ll give it a yawn.

4x4abc, there is some of the drone film you have been seeking included. Guadalupe mission and San Pablo visita footage from the drone is in this
preview. As I understand, there are going to be 5 previews from our recon trip last May. The San Borjitas cave was actually done before we went to the
Mulegé mission at sundown... so look for that maybe in the next episode? San Bruno (and Londó) were visited on the next day. I hope to see some San
Bruno from the drone. HeyMulegeScott - 8-15-2019 at 08:51 AM
Yes, for those who won't touch a Facebook link, here it is on YouTube:

"Certified Baja Know It All" - that's great.
Thank you, David! Inspiring! Ready to go...

Yes, that was funny... It was meant as a compliment, as Cameron is saying that in one scene... lol.
He likes surrounding himself with experts on these trips. Curt LeDuc is a great addition. He knows the mechanics and parts supply sources up and down
Baja. That is how we discovered "Junior" in Vizcaino to get through the locked gate to San Pablo.
Maybe, "mission or history know it all" is more accurate... but not close to being true. My books help much... especially as I get old and more
forgetful. RocketJSquirrel - 8-17-2019 at 07:38 PM
It was great humor and just makes you even more human. David K - 8-18-2019 at 09:38 AM
Thanks, yes, I am very human and have flaws... lots.
I just learned (to some relief of those who want less DK on Nomad) that the TV show on Sept. 7 (Trail of Missions tour 2019) will NOT have any of the
recon footage (ie. any of me) mixed in with the tour footage. I have seen the show (for editing input) and the next two recon episodes.
I am adding the recon episode links to my website www.vivabaja.com as it has great footage of the mission sites and caves we visited plus Baja scenery.
Harald (4x4abc) was wanting to see the flyover drone footage at San Bruno, and indeed that is coming in the next episodes. The triangle fort of 1683
is very clear from above. Visita de San Pablo is also well captured by the drone.David K - 8-21-2019 at 10:27 AM
