Try TERSA tires, located across the street from COSTCO in the Soriana plaza

If quality, durability and reliability are important to you, be aware that almost all trailer tires are made overseas and are of poor quality.
Perhaps the only made in the USA trailer tire is the Goodyear Endurance https://corporate.goodyear.com/en-US/media/news/goodyear_lau...
I purchased two ST225/75 R15 - E (10 ply rating) last year for my utility trailer. $127 each at Discount Tire in San Diego. Well worth the extra expense for my needs. In addition to hauling dirtbikes and quads, I've been hauling 2,000 lb. loads of alfalfa over a 25 mile dirt road. So far, so good.
Many people, who have done their research, replace the inferior quality tires on their brand new trailer.
No idea if the Goodyear Endurance is available in Mexico or Ensenada. If not, it would be worth making the trip north, IMHO. Mexican customs doesn't allow unmounted tires (new or used) to be brought into Mexico. So take your wheels to the USA for installation of the new tires.

This is sound advice on trailer tires. Little more advice I have blown up every trailer tire made. I now only use truck tires on all my 6 trailers. Never one blew up

I've always wondered what the difference is between trailer tires and automotive tires. Are trailer tires not as heavy duty as automotive/truck tires?

bajatrailrider - 9-8-2019 at 08:56 AM

Trailer tires have a bead In outer sidewall. To protect hitting the curb. Useless as I have blown up all trailer tires. Before hitting any curb. In Mexico they even have 15 in truck tires hd. Have those on my y 24 ft airstream. On large cargo trailer that use 16 in tire . Easy to to get truck tires.

Some trailer tires may have a protective ridge around the circumference of the sidewall. So do many all-terrain tires. That is not a defining characteristic. Trailer tires are constructed differently than passenger car tires. The sidewalls are stiffer to handle load and prevent trailer sway. Some manufacturers advertise that their rubber compound is made to increase longevity over time, since many trailer tires sit and rot before the tread wears out.

That is correct on how trailer tires made. Sad that is not how they work or last. As I had one year old trailer tires . Trailer parked indoors concrete floor.I pulled trailer out The tread pulled off was laying on concrete floor. Tires were bald but not flat.

but not flat.
