Dear friends of Bahia de Los Angeles, I am sorry to have to post about the loss of an icon, a family member, a good friend. After a long, strong
battle against systemic Lupus, China has passed away. I know many of you will join us in wishing strength to her family during this difficult time.
Our love, thoughts and prayers are with China and her loved ones.
If anyone would like to post photos of her and her taco stand, I´m sure her family would love to see them. China, her hospitality, tacos, birria on
Sundays, were loved. She will be missed.

Lupus can be devastating in many areas. RIP.AKgringo - 10-2-2019 at 01:00 PM
Was her stand the one by the market in Bahia de Los Angeles?Tbone - 10-2-2019 at 01:28 PM
I looked forward to eating at China’s every time in BOLA. China was a very pleasant person who happened to also be a great cook. Her birria was
awesome as were her fish and shrimp tacos. She will be missed. Paulina - 10-2-2019 at 03:44 PM
Was her stand the one by the market in Bahia de Los Angeles?
Yes, her stand is on the west side of the road, in between Lizeth market and Las Hamacas restaurant.

Sad, sad, sad. I'm heading down in a week and a half and my plan is always to arrive on Sunday so I can have her birria and tacos on arrival.
Prayers and condolences to her family.airmech - 10-2-2019 at 06:35 PM
So sad. China had my favorite taco stand in all of Baja!! She was such a nice and friendly lady. May she rest in peace and all my prayers to her
family. advrider - 10-2-2019 at 06:36 PM
Man I was hoping it wasn't her! Loved that place, very nice lady. My wife lives with Lupus, not an easy condition to deal with. Vaya Con Dios....Bajazly - 10-2-2019 at 06:37 PM

Must have been 5 or 6 years ago we roll into town from Gecko after a morning of fishing and stop in for a few tacos, of course. She had put up a sign
about no alcohol and while ordering tacos with a cold one in our hand I figure out what the sign says. Yikes. Smiling, she hands us a cup and
indicates to pour it in there and put the bottle back in the truck. Ah, we get it.
Later that week while talking to a resident, he says it is OK as long as you are having something to eat, they just don't want it to be a bar where
people drink on the sidewalk all afternoon.
