It appears that a day is not 24 hours long in Baja

Or so it would seem.

We entered Baja at Tijuana a week ago Thursday about noon. My daughter & son-in-law got a 7 day fmm. We returned this past Thursday, well before noon at the east Mexicali POE.

I had assumed that since we used the clock time of noon, as long as we returned before noon on Thursday the 7 day fmm would not be expired. I was wrong.

Since it's really easy to return the fmm at Mexicali east, they drove over, turned them in and were promptly informed that the fmm was expired by a day.

Trying to give our view that before noon, that the 8th day hadn't started didn't fly. So $30 later per fmm and we were sent on our way.

Live and learn.

There are actual people who turn those things in ??

You got spanked for making the extra effort to turn it in. Meanwhile, a new thread going around the Internet this week claims the free one no longer needs to be returned!
So, since you paid the 180-day amount do you have them to use again?

That'll teach ya for doing the "right" thing .....

I learned long ago to never ask, volunteer or look a gift horse in the mouth.

"never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line"!

Do we really need political sniping here?

Please leave the Trump/Giuliani bashing for The View and CNN, and to be fair, leave the cheerleading for Fox News.
