I believe it was Harald who posted photos of rock "walls" just underwater in the intertidal, and there was some great speculation and postulating
about how and mostly why!
For those here who listen to Communist Radio (NPR) there was a very interesting segment today on Science Friday.
I'm hoping they post the audio, for now just a short summary - but indigenous peoples of the Pacific northwest built "clam gardens" by rolling
rocks into the intertidal and making walls, which filled in with sand etc, and made perfect conditions for claims. They demonstrably increased
yields tremendously, not only by upping populations, but by accelerating growth rates as well!
well, Ritter and his colleagues are certainly not speculating
they know their stuff
cool find!
thank you for sharing
Communist Radio is pretty much the only radio source I would trust with anything

Harald, was it you who posted the photos? or anyone else? or sat photos? link? if you send me the photos I will contact these guys up at Simon
Frazier and get some feedback from the experts.
The key might be dating the rock walls - and these guys have figured out a method to accurately do that -
