The John Minch Roadside Geology book was redone in 2017, now glovebox friendly (6" x 9") and full of color photos.
The book goes down the major roads of Baja and uses kilometer markers to identify sites of interesting geology, plants, and more.
I have his 1998 edition (8.5" x 11") with black and white photos. This new book has much more information. Some of you will remember that shortly
after his book came out, the Hwy. 1 kilometer markers were moved, south of San Quintín and that threw off his entries. This new 2017 edition is
correct for the current marker locations.
I bought the book at Sunbelt Publications in El Cajon, who is distributing the book for Jason, as his father (John) recently passed away.

There are several books to have on a Baja trip to add to a vacation interest if one wants to learn more about Baja and what's down there.

A complete Plant ID book
Reptile ID book (snakes and lizards)
Mission (History) book, because Baja is the "Land of Missions"

The roadside geology book was always a happy travel companion on my Baja ventures. Especially if I had a co-pilot in the passenger seat to narrate as
we descended down (or up) the TP-1. Made the drive even more interesting and informative, as I've always had a lay interest in geology. I highly
recommend it, as well as the old adage of "smell the flowers along the way".

Hi David, Our website isn’t set up to ship out of the states. We normally refer customers to Amazon and ask them to let us know if they
have any trouble ordering. We recently had to help a gentleman in Switzerland who wanted our Chasing Agave book and it took a while, but we finally

Side note to the book, at least the older edition I have...... a few of the chapters have discrepancies in the mileage (km) logs; a few are off, been
too long to remember which are goobered. However, overall a great read AND a great travelling companion, with or without a travelling companion.
Look ahead, make a few notes on where you wanna pull over and gawk a little. One that comes to mind is a microwave tower very close to San Ignatz
(north side of the highway) with a white band on the base of the hillside, good fossil stop for some spiral shells.
Another is the description of how El Pedregoso occurred. Had a camper once ask about it, so I quoted the book, went over his head and parted his
hair. "TMI ! " he proclaimed. Ah, youth is sometimes wasted on the young.

I mentioned about the kilometer markers being moved after the first edition came out in my opening post. This edition is current to those changed
markers south of San Quintín.
I did spot a few minor things, like place name errors when I thumbed through the new book. That's just me and doesn't distract from the value of the
work.
