I subscribe to Spanish Word of the Day despite its emphasis on Castilian versus Latin American Spanish. Today's word, translated "soap opera", is "el culebrón".
I grew up hearing them called "telenovelas". Has anyone ever heard them called anything other than that?Bajazly - 10-24-2019 at 10:21 AM
Funny, when you put el culebrón in google translate, the definition comes up "Telenovela que consta de gran..." translated is "Soap opera that
consists of a large..."pauldavidmena - 10-24-2019 at 10:44 AM
