They do offer a range of services not otherwise available in Sur that I am aware of.

I am in final negotiations for a piece of land and currently using them as my buyer broker. The seller as become a bit squirly (aided by a last minute competing bid and a less than integral seller).

Lesson for both Settlement and us. We (company and us) did not hand off as well as we should have with the seller. This translated to confusion for the seller and ultimately, in my opinion, opened the door for a competing bid. As we sit today we have spent some real money in buyer broker fees and the seller has decided to hold on selling currently. Ugh!

We are considering currently how best to utilize the company in the future. We had hoped to use to them from 'start to finish'. From the outcome from this deal, we may choose to bring them in only for closing type activities. So in short, we are still in the market for 'special' properties (location, view, potential) in the greater La Paz area.

I could tell you hundreds of horror stories but I don't want to bore you .it took me several years to learn one valuable lesson about Mexican lawyers companies and real estate. and that is there is no such thing as conflict of interest. the main interest is in there own pocket and you can git sold out in a minuet. I solved this problem by studying Mexican Law allot so I have control over such things as accounting and legal negotiations.

With past aquisitions, I have gone it alone and worked through the headaches. This time I had hoped to have a successful outcome using a company with some pretty significant depth. Not ready to write them off. Current thinking has me using them for the more 'technical' closing aspects.
