The Profeco director said the cleanest gas station washrooms in the country were found at Emerald Gas in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.
I have added Emerald Gas Los Cabo to my bucket list, I really want to see this spectacular attraction next visit to Los Cabo area.
DK, you should update your road guide with bathroom reviews. The most important things to know for road trips: where are the honest gas jockeys,
where are the good C-stores with great selection of snacks, and which restrooms are worth a stop (or stops to be avoided).
P.s. For you East County San Diego folk... Try the new Sycuan gas station and c-store on dehesa rd. Appears to be Cheapest gas in East county, and
the snack/beer/wine selection is worth noting as far a c-stores go.

Yawn, this has been going on for years.
You just never read about the Profeco guys who get paid off to re-open the stations and the practice continues until they are inspected again. The
press never reports that.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

It is a given that you don't get a fair pour at quite a few gas stations down here but that is just part of SOP and you live with it.
On the other hand it would be nice to know for a fact which stations to stay away from so you can give your business to a fair and honest owner.
I would love enforced regulations on gas stations but which will come first, those enforced regulations or a healthy fried fish taco with all the

at least here in La Paz all the new non Pemex stations are super accurate with liters and very service minded. And no 50 for 500 tricks.

correction on the Repsol close to San Pedro (La Paz)
they were overcharging when they were Pemex
they have since changed to Repsol
I would assume they are super accurate as all other Repsol in La Paz, but I have not checked that yet
I corrected my file accordingly

Zoom in on Harald's map and you will eventually see two stations, the red one (on top of the other) was Mama Espinoza's past the curve and closed by

got the data from traveling up and down Baja for 30+ years and listening to praises and complaints on the Baja forums
especially cool are the government planned (we know hoe that sometimes turns out) Pemex stations along the 1973/74 transpeninsular highway
only the one in San Ignacio is still serving gas

This just happened last week at a Repsol station -
I brought down two brand new five gallon containers from the States to use for boat fuel. One was purchased at Walmart and the other was purchased at
Napa. Different brand containers because they are different shapes.
BOTH containers are marked with a five gallon US fill mark. One has 18.8 liters along side the 5 gal mark and the oher has 19 liters marked at the
five gallon line.
The 18.8 liter jug took exactly 18.8 liters to fill it to the mark. WOW!! Repsol is right on !!
The 19 liter jug took 20.3 liters to fill to the mark. WOW!! Repsol is ripping us off !!
With results like this - what do you use for a calibrated container? ¿Quien sabe?

OK, here is what you need to do. Empty the container that took the 18.8 liters and then pour the contents into the container that took 20.3 liters
into that container and see what happens!

A friend in Pesky tests amounts from time to time. Don't recall if the Pemex in Pesky is honest or not. Usually get gas in Todos.
If I was headed to Cabo, and needed gas, I'd get it in Pesky knowing they over charged. Justify it as the cost of doing business in Baja.
