Yes, it is pretty quiet there unless it is a holiday. It was once the only camp for miles. The road between San Felipe to Puertecitos went through the
sulfur mine valley, 5 miles west. Percebu and Coloradito were about the only other campos between San Felipe and Puertecitos, in the mid 1960s.
Nuevo Mazatlán was originally 'Agua de Chale'. Luis Castellanos Moreno changed the name and planted a the salt cedar trees there, making a forest to
