Sentry Lane (Mexicali East)

Recently obtained our Global Entry pass. My wife and I use the open Lanes or Ready Lane to cross at Mexicali East. I have not noticed where we will enter the Sentri lane in the various lines. Can we enter the Sentri lane coming from either the East or West directions? Any help is appreciated.

For awhile, they were only allowing vehicles to enter the Mexicali East Sentri lanes from the west. Then, the cops stopped messing it up and you could enter from west or east. The last time I went that way, entering from the east was no problem. For Mexicali East crossing, the Sentri lane is the western most lane of the northbound lanes. If coming from the east, you have to go past the other lanes and make a sharp right hand turn into the Sentri lane.

At Mexicali East, the Sentri is one lane over from the Ready Lanes (West of them)

When coming from the East, stay to the left of all the normal traffic lanes, then a sharp right once you see the Sentri sign. Very easy.

Pretty much the same thing coming from the West - I just haven't done it recently.

We crossed about a week ago and dropped someone off at the airport. The drive to the airport went on back roads and avoided all the traffic into the city, then a few more minutes on to the East crossing.

Thanks for the directions. It seems the Mexico side of the border crossing is in a constant state of change. Looking forward to using the Sentri lane.
