"In Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, sportfishing is currently limited to locals for personal consumption, and boat traffic is so light that large game fish
are swarming into the marina... schooling bait fish seeking protection from predators inside the marina are attracting the larger game fish. Besides
jack crevalle, which are prized for their fight on light tackle, dorado (mahi-mahi) have been seen gathering beneath idle sportfishing boats. In an
earlier Facebook post, Pisces reported that some Cabo San Lucas hotels will open as early as May 30, and that hundreds of businesses and individuals
have been training (virtually) with state health officials for the eventual re-opening of the iconic tourism destination at Baja California's tip."
Great picture showing the bait activity.
The fish are presently getting a small window to recover during the pandemic but when things open up that window will get a lot smaller and it will be
business as usual.weebray - 5-29-2020 at 08:45 AM
I'm sure this is just seasonal as we know that sport fishing has little effect on the population.SFandH - 5-29-2020 at 09:28 AM

The point is not that there are more gamefish, the point is they are coming into the marina in greater numbers because there is much less boat traffic
keeping them away.
